Barack Obama’s plan to address school children K-12 has raised a furor among millions of parents in the nation. But so far the only reason given for the stir it has caused is that Americans don’t want politics in the classroom. Are there other reasons and what are they?
Reactions run the gamut but more typically hang on the one of two poles. Those against it generally agree it is not very timely in the light of recent controversies over health care. Those who think it’s as normal as apple pie say it is about staying in school and the promise of what a better education affords. Both of these answers are but the tip of the iceberg.

The “head fake” that the sensible knew was coming may be arriving a bit earlier than expected. With all of the socialist stumbles of the communist coterie known as the Obama administration to this early point in the game, the inevitable “look towards 2010″ reveals to the progressive prognosticators a need for a fallacious “move towards the middle.” This will be accompanied by a misleading “tax cut” totaling an insignificant amount that will garner the typical heavy breathing, perspiration and swooning that every liberal misdirection receives from the complicit “impartial” media. With as much damage as they have done, it would seem appropriate that this Democratic diversion would need to be done at such an early moment in Obama’s Totalitarian tenure.
The generosity of the Obama caliphate is staggering. Within a “budget” that will approach four trillion dollars when all is said and done, seventeen billion has been placed on the chopping block. That amounts to about one half of one percent. Don’t spend it all in one place. Obama marionette Peter Orszag said, “Seventeen billion a year is not chump change by anyone’s accounting.” The habitual “fabrication” that is part of the liberal genus cannot be contained or corralled.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan is now a “man on a mission.” He wants to “hear” what teachers, students and parents have to say about the “No Child Left Behind Act.” “Listening” has proven quite profitable for the leftists ever since the “I feel your pain” days of the last liberal lecher. “Listening” and “doing” are two altogether different things within the cesspool of socialism and what they end up “doing” seldom has any resemblance to the “promises” that they made.
According to the article entitled, “Obama Preps Overhaul of No Child Left Behind,” it’s time to “renew and reform” the law, according to Arne and Obama has “pledged” to “overhaul” the law. As has been the case for the entirety of the “Hundred Days War” declared by Obama and his sycophants upon what was once the United States of America, “he has been vague about how far he would go.” Shall we use just a few recent “examples” of the “Obama overhauls” as a template for this “pledge” and possibly “how far he would go?”

The Illiterate Capital
Occasionally, the stack of stories that I print from the Internet gets as big and unruly as Ted Kennedy with a bout of the DT’s. Today as I went through the heap, a small but telling story caught my eye again. It was titled, “Study Finds One-Third in D.C. Illiterate.” Is this the same Washington D.C. that’s located within the United States of America? For a moment I thought “D.C.” might have stood for “Distant Countries.” How could this be possible? If you really want to know the answers to this question, you should look no further than to the sclerotic public schools, the liberals and our immigrants, both legal and illegal, as the sources of this embarrassing statistic. It is a crime of epic proportions.

Border patrol agents say that the attacks upon them are increasing dramatically at the border that separates California from Tijuana, Mexico. The agency says its agents have been attacked nearly 1,000 times during a one-year period by assailants hurling stones, bottles and bricks.
