Is there anything Obama doesn’t know – or want to pass on to the American people? Is there anything the former ClintonNewsNetwork, CNN, now the official Obama network won’t report in order to present its new messiah in a flattering light?

The answer is no and no. As evidenced by a darling little weather report on CNN this morning featuring Obama as the forecaster-in-chief.

In his never-ending quest to control the flow of information, the Obama administration has launched a cute little website, Obama-Weather.com

Opaque Transparency or Smoke and Mirrors?

freedomofspeechAssault on Free Speech Continues

By Dr. ROBERT OWENS

Remember the promise of transparency that helped win the Presidency?  All bills passing Congress would be posted for 5 days before signed.  Seems the rules have changed.  Apparently the pledge only applied to NON-emergency bills and everything is an emergency in the New Republic.  The first bill signed into law the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was apparently an emergency.  We had to pass the pork-laden stimulus bill before any of the Best-Congress-Money-Can-Buy could read it; otherwise unemployment might reach the unacceptable 8% range though most of the provisions wouldn’t kick in for months or years.  The Bums-Rush is also being applied to the nationalization of medicine though the provisions of this monstrosity conveniently won’t overwhelm us until after the next presidential election.

In a direct assault against even the possibility of transparency the Chicago trained attack machine in the West Wing (Chicago’s 51st Ward) decided they have the power to decide what constitutes news.   For months they’ve refused to allow anyone on Fox.  This started when Chris Wallace had the bad taste to fact-check several statements made by White House officials and then the inexcusably bad taste to mention the official statements didn’t line up with the facts.  This was bad enough, but Fox commentator Glenn Beck dared to expose Obama advisor Van Jones as a self-proclaimed communist and then air the Acorn prostitution sting the totally transparent Obama Whitehouse decided it was time to muzzle the only major news network not in the tank.  The Obama Whitehouse declared war on Fox News.

Newsmen Do Not Decide What is Good and Evil – A Question of Ducks or Eagles

At no other time in our history have the principles and faith of our founding fathers been under attack as they are today. The Bibles President Obama said Americans cling to have a lot to say about this attack, and it is not something this administration can easily deal with.

It seems that the President’s declaration that we are not a Christian nation and his belittlement of our faith in the Bible have gone a long way to assure some Americans that we need only follow him into the shining new American dream where all is gay, green, socialist and lean, and health care is almost free if you can find any.

In a recent interview the President said listening to his critics wasn’t what he involved himself with but only deciding what was best for the American people. The last time anyone looked at the idea of self determination which is fundamental to American freedoms it was the citizens of this country who must decide what is best for them, not the President. When did that change?

Is This the News or a Comedy Tour?

thenewsBy Dr. ROBERT OWENS

Everyone routinely called them the Mainstream Media.  Rush now calls them the State Controlled Media.  I’ve called them the Mainstream Media, the Poodle Press, and the Lap-Dog Media.  Whatever you’ve called them, the time’s come to call them irrelevant.  Out with the old and in with the new.

When news organizations consistently slant their coverage and ignore major stories because they don’t fit their template or further their agenda, it’s time to re-evaluate what they are.  They portray themselves as objective yet everyone can see they’re partisan publicists for a particular party and a particular radical left-wing of that party.  Study after study shows the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media are perceived by the public as advocates whose left-wing agenda is self-serving and deceptive.  Instead of the fourth branch of government, honest brokers working to keep the public informed, they’ve degenerated into craven corporate cheerleaders for Progressivism.

Ever since Walter Cronkite denounced America’s commitment in Vietnam the corporate media have championed increasingly radical left-wing causes.  They first joined the Democrat Party in all but name.  Then they joined the extreme liberal wing of that Party.  Now they’ve joined the Cavalcade of Czars in the statist campaign to re-make America.

Follow the Leaders: Rush, Glenn and Sarah

reagan5By Dr. ROBERT OWENS

As usual it was Rush Limbaugh leading the way.  He was the first political commentator with enough insight and courage to say what so many others were thinking, “I hope he fails.”  If you listen to his program you know that this was immediately and repeatedly expanded to explain that he was referring to the President’s policies.   He even clarified it further by saying, “Hey, I support the president.  I just don’t support his policies.”  He even went so far as to entitle the transcript that refers to these statements, “We Want the President’s Policies to Fail So Everyone Can Succeed.”  Some may still find this shocking; why would anyone hope a brand new president’s policies fail?  The original quote comes from an editorial Rush wrote on the Friday before the inauguration in which he said, “Folks, I do not want what Obama is doing to work.  I don’t want more socialism in America, I don’t want more liberalism.  Liberalism is what’s gotten us to the problems we have now.  Why would I want more of it?  I do not want him to succeed.”  That was way back in January when polls showed that 70% of the American public wanted the new president to succeed.  When many Republican officials eagerly lined up for a few moments of face time to parrot, “I want the president to succeed.”  They were saying the popular thing.  Rush had the courage to swim against the tide and proclaim, “I hope he fails.”

Thank You, Fox News

fox

By NANCY MORGAN

Thank you, Fox News. Thank you for reporting the news other networks ignore. Thanks for not condescending to the great unwashed by informing us how we should think on a given subject.

Thank you for not adopting the patronizing, elitist attitudes that have become de rigueur on most other networks. Thank you for recognizing that Americans have the right to information from both sides of the aisle and are fully capable of making up their own minds on issues, given enough facts.

Thanks, Fox, for actually questioning the incessant spin coming from Camp Obama. No one else is. If not for your reporting, most Americans would still be unaware of the depth of ‘change’ our president is proposing. Even though the old media succeeded in getting Obama elected, thanks to you, Americans are finally being given access to information they should have had before they voted. Better late than never.

Mainstream Public Sex

Calvin Klein Billboard

Calvin Klein Billboard

By NANCY MORGAN

It used to be that forcing sex on an unconsenting adult was considered rape. No longer. Now personal, deviant and x-rated sex is quickly becoming commonplace in the public square.

In just the last week, this occupant of the ‘public square’ has been treated to images best confined to the pages of porn magazines. Images and acts that are popping up regularly on billboards, television, the Internet and pages of major publications.

Calvin Klein, in their latest breach of good taste, launched a huge billboard in SoHo showing four languid, half-dressed models engaging in group sex. That billboard managed to be more offensive than Calvin Klein’s last campaign, which featured half-clad dead bodies. I guess porno and death sell jeans. Go figure.

America: In the Beginning of Sorrows

Monday, June 1st, 2009

matthewBy Rev. MICHAEL BRESCIANI

Not everyone is directly affected by the latest injustices or is a victim of a crime, but it is impossible not to be touched in some way by the absurdities and atrocities we see all around us every day. Who is not made sad just hearing of these things?

Unless a person is so involved in their private little pursuit of happiness and is too busy to even hear of what is taking place just outside of their own sphere they cannot escape the feeling that something has gone awry in America, and the world.

This week’s news is but a cross section of last week’s, last month’s or last year’s news. This week we heard of a judge in Oklahoma who forced a five year old to testify in court against her rapist. After ducking under courtroom benches and chairs to avoid even looking at her rapist the defendant is then given a paltry one year sentence for the rape of the child.

newsmarch

By NANCY MORGAN

Question: If news isn’t reported, is it still news? Not according to the old media. The old axiom, “If it bleeds, it leads,” is still operative in most newsrooms around the country. Good news, if reported at all, is merely an afterthought.

For the savvy news consumer, good news is recognized mainly through its absence. Just last week, headlines across the country reported the dire predictions of the World Health Organization – the swine flu, oops, the H1N1 virus, was “a grave threat to humanity”. A major pandemic is imminent and we’re (again) on the brink of catastrophe.

The threat was so dire, it required the president of the greatest country in the world (that’s America, for you Obama voters) to appear, once again, on national TV to advise all citizens to wash their hands. Lost in the lockstep reporting of the old media, was the fact that, gee, many “experts” were claiming that this dangerous flu strain was no more severe than the normal flu strain.

The pandemic failed to materialize, prompting headlines warning of “complacency.” It appears the WHO, the Obama administration and the liberal media were, well, wrong. Swine flu deaths: App 12. Unreported, was the fact that regular flu deaths (in 2006) were 56,000.
