Obama Curse to Overtake Sports Illustrated Curse?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

In what has to rank right up there with the dreaded “cover curse” of Sports Illustrated, the Indianapolis Colts were unceremoniously whacked by Obama just hours before game time. Obama worked his magic during an interview with the AMAZINGLY talented and completely impartial Katie Couric. At this point I feel compelled to disengage and shift to a different rant. Don’t worry, I’ll be back to this.

Couric is SO AMAZING that she is compensated to the tune of $300,000.00 A DAY for her stunning ability to read a teleprompter. Financially, this impressive daily sum puts her right along side the “Totalitarian Teleprompter Reader” that she was interviewing, once you add in all of those much appreciated “tips and gratuities” that politicians consistently receive.

At $300,000.00 A DAY, Couric is another of those liberals who needs to have her “executive pay and bonus package” corralled due to the fact that “the media” as whole is justifiably in such terrible financial shape. The media has been in such bad shape that Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (L-MD) felt compelled to introduce legislation in order to “bail out” the media. The “Newspaper Revitalization Act” from March of 2009 was tabled and Obama himself even teased the media minions who were interviewing him on September 20, 2009 about the idea.

Denver's Invesco Field

By FAIRFIELD “PINPOINT” EDWARDS

In the mind’s eye, it seems like not so long ago that a giant among men emerged from the Mile High City as a Second Savior upon his First Coming.  The Denver spectacle was nothing short of impressive, as the experts pondered which great figure of the past he most resembled.  The stadium swayed and gyrated at his every motion.  The Jumbotron projected hope in video form as the faithful gazed and cheered, despite the burden of great expectations.

It’s
silly season in America.

With political pundits counting down the days until the 2008 Presidential
election, the candidates are doing all they can to garner a vote here or there.
The level of pandering and groveling borders on the absurd.

As candidates continue this battle, for some unknown reason, celebrities feel
the need to weigh in on the battle. Apparently, the candidates and their
campaign machines feel that the voters are so shallow that appearing on stage
with a well known celebrity or sports figure will somehow make them seem more
common.

CNN-filtration! "News" Network Pushes Dems in GOP Debate

Network Defends Actions
On Thursday November 29, 2007, CNN released statements defending its use of Democratic activists in the GOP debate it hosted on November 28, 2007:

The whole point of these ground-breaking CNN/YouTube debates is to focus on substantive questions of concern to real people and to throw open the process to a wider range of Americans all around the country. CNN cared about what you asked, not who you were. This was the case for both the Democratic and the Republican CNN/YouTube debates.

The issues raised during last night’s debate were legitimate and relevant no matter who was asking the questions. The vested interests who are challenging the credibility of the questioners are trying to distract voters from the substantive issues they care most about. Americans are tired of that discredited low-road approach, and throughout this election campaign CNN will stay focused on what the candidates are saying about the pressing issues facing this country at a critical time in our history.
