Just another Election?

Not everyone who can’t see is blind. Even with
20/20 vision a person or an entire nation can have their attention diverted
away from what they should be seeing. In America we are focusing on our economy
and ignoring the other areas of our national life. Unfortunately in many of
those areas we are already totally bankrupt.

Jesus said, “For judgment I am come into this world, that
they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.” (Jn
9:41)

The cataclysmic collision of politics and economics this month has begotten
a frenzied orgy of mudslinging, finger-pointing, hand wringing and politicking,
the likes of which we haven’t seen in decades.

Daletoon of the Day: 30 Crock

Regarding Sarah Palin, Saturday Night Live has successfully created yet another vacuous caricature in the grand tradition of Dan Quayle and George W. Bush, thus demonstrating the razor-sharp judgment of the entertainment community.  Bring on the next award show…

John Lewis, Race, and the Race

As the hours wind down towards the day when
every state that McCain wins will be “rife with voter fraud,” places where
“minorities turned away from the polls in record numbers” will be the twenty
point bold headlines from dusk ‘till dawn, another liberal shill felt the need
to contribute to the “political discourse.” In the interim, in order to soften
up those who haven’t completely bought into the Obama absurdity, the Democrats
cranked up the old crank John Lewis and allowed him to just go out and be “Democratic.”

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

It used to be a very serious matter to accuse someone of lying. Not so long ago, when honor had more currency than it does at present, specific examples of deliberate falsehoods were required to validate such charges. This is no longer the case.

The charge that ‘Bush Lied’ has been echoed so often that it is taken as truth by millions of Americans. Not one of whom can cite a specific Bush lie. On my radio show, I had a standing offer of $100.00 for anyone who could give me an example of when Bush lied. I’ve never had to pay out. Despite this lack of evidence, a good man’s name and honor have been tarnished. Ditto with John McCain.

How Ted Williams Changed the World

It’s
silly season in America.

With political pundits counting down the days until the 2008 Presidential
election, the candidates are doing all they can to garner a vote here or there.
The level of pandering and groveling borders on the absurd.

As candidates continue this battle, for some unknown reason, celebrities feel
the need to weigh in on the battle. Apparently, the candidates and their
campaign machines feel that the voters are so shallow that appearing on stage
with a well known celebrity or sports figure will somehow make them seem more
common.

Ten Questions to Ask Before Casting a Vote

There has been too much scandal, propaganda and
too many mismanaged opinions flying around concerning our presidential candidates and who
will do what and what will be done to whom. Quite honestly, all people need to
do is to open their eyes, focus their attention on what they hear (and do not
hear for that matter) and look past the barriers of skin color and age. What
people will then recognize is where our country, and the global sector for that
matter, is headed.

Is it the Economy, Stupid?

What about the Company One Keeps?

Obama says the McCain campaign is pointing to the wrong
issue by bringing up his association with, racists, haters and domestic
bombers. “It’s the economy!” says Barack. Is he asking Americans to suspend the
time-tested wisdom that we teach our children even to this day, namely that we
are known by the company we keep? Apparently he is.

Daletoon of the Day: Debate on Jeopardy

After some doubt about the objectivity of past debate moderators, the search for an unbiased yet authoritative figure has at last been completed.  And the debate format is sure to hold the audience’s attention — for at least half an hour.

Two Years Since and Two Years Until

For those who are somewhat undecided about this election, please allow me to clear a few things up for you.  This political season has been rife with the vacuous and gossamer term “change.” If you believe that Barack Hussein Obama will “change” things, I am here to tell you that he would “change” some things, and some things would remain the same.
