The surfing Socialist finally came out of hibernation and chatted a bit about the attempted attack upon the Christmas day flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. He didn’t have too much of substance to say as he had to race off for yet another totalitarian tee time. Being as vague as he always is, Obama said very little but he managed to blame nary a liberal for all of this but then later, he reflexively found someone to blame.

Obama said that “information about the terror suspect was not properly shared among intelligence agencies.” Since Obama is too much of a coward to lay the blame for this, I will do so for him. The fault lies with one Jamie Gorlick, former Clinton hack who orchestrated her position on, of all things, the 9-11 commission. This was important because she had to cover up her responsibility (along with Bill and Hill’s) for building the “wall” surrounding the dissemination of information that should have been made available to federal agencies that literally made 9-11 easier for the terrorists. (Sandy Burglar did a little document barbecue on the Clintonistas behalf as well.)

Abdulmutallab and the Law of Averages

explosive

By PAUL SCHNEE

The fact that Mr. Abdulmutallab is resting comfortably in Federal custody and planning his defense with his lawyer instead of being interrogated at Guantanamo by military intelligence is just one reason why Obama’s approach to the war on terror is likely to cost thousands of Americans their lives. Abdulmutallab is a terrorist not an ordinary criminal. If he had been successful he would have killed over 250 people at a stroke. If he is found guilty in a civil court he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment. Considering the enormity of the intended catastrophe, accidentally averted, a 20 year prison sentence and scorched genitals hardly seems punishment enough.

Now that he has been read Miranda rights and has legal counsel at his disposal his use as an intelligence asset is severly compromised. Obama’s main concern is not our safety, the swift and effective gathering of intelligence, or the firm treatment of terrorist prisoners but the desire not to appear to be doing anything useful that would resemble the Bush Administration and so alienate his left-wing base. For this meagre and cynical political consideration the rest of us are put in lethal jeopardy. This is nothing new in the world of Obama. Under his regime both our Justice Department and our intelligence services have become politicised. Thus does clarity become obscured. Without clarity there can be no understanding and without understanding no objective or rational decisions can be made. We are not being well served.

The UK 2009 Rundown: A Year of Fire and Ice

ukFrom The Brussels Journal

By A. MILLAR

What is the future of the Western democracy? A look at Britain over the last 12 months seems to provide some clues. In one way or another Islamism was a constant theme, though party politics were volatile by almost any standards. Having long ignored the will of the people in every area – from law and order to immigration – and demonizing those brave enough to raise uncomfortable, but important issues, the political class began to feel the heat of the nation’s boiling anger. Pressure from the top had kept a lid on things, but in 2009 politics began to spill onto the streets, with “anti-Islamization” protests emerging up and down the country. The response was to give more money to tackling the “far-Right.” However, most of the protestors appear to have been ordinary citizens.

Anti-Israel protests have been held over the last few years, though these exploded across Britain in January. In September a London march in support of terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah attracted a few thousand, though it did not attract any condemnation from the political class or mainstream media. But, then, double standards and contradiction was a theme in itself in 2009. David Miliband condemned Geert Wilders’ film Fitna as “hate-filled,” but he had not seen it. The Chancellor of the Exchequer – responsible for the nation’s taxes – claimed for assistance with his tax return. Sir John Chilcot said the legality of the Iraq war would be central to his investigation, though the investigating committee would have no legal expert. And so on, and so on.

Truth itself seems a casualty of modern Britain. Instead an ideology, a zeitgeist, is apparent, with politicians and the cultural “elite” seeming merely to repackage, in more sober language, the prejudices of a fascistic-Left: Take, for example, the support for Hamas by socialist street protestors, and the interview of Hamas’ leader in the New Statesman; or George Galloway’s call for protestors to “shut down Israel shops” and the Department of Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs new labeling guidelines for Israeli products that would make them easier to boycott, and the open political propaganda that accompanied its labeling advice.

Below we have listed some of the most important events of the year, with particular attention paid to Islamism (and the backlash against it) and to party politics. Although I have listed events by month, some, such as protests, naturally reemerge at different time.

This new healthcare bill looks marvelous…if you’re into that sort of thing, but wouldn’t you like to be a fly on the wall at the after passage party on Capitol Hill?  Thanks to this little image, you can be.  WARNING: May not be suitable for literate viewers.

The Safety of America vs. Liberal Love of BIG LABOR

After eleven months of waffling, Obama has nominated someone for the important position of chief of the Transportation Security Administration. His name is Erroll Southers. He’s on board with the socializing of America, so this makes him qualified for… Hmmm…apparently a top position in our Federal Government’s security forces.

Even more disturbing than his lack of qualifications to keep America safe, is the very clear agenda that Mr. Southers brings to the TSA: HE WANTS TO UNIONIZE TSA AIRPORT SCREENERS.

Yesterday, Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab (red flag number one for the mildly observant) went on a mission. The end result of his efforts is “second degree burns in his genital area.” I suppose that we can now add one more forlorn Mooselim to the never-ending list of ball-less terrorists. That’s right, yet another Mooselim failed to do the work tasked to them by one of the myriad of imams using the same familiar text as the template. The seven-two virgins nonsense will have to wait.

Even almost ten years after the “Magnificent Nineteen,” there are those who still don’t seem to understand the motivational factors empowering the Mooselim terrorists. In “Wealthy, quiet, unassuming: the Christmas Day bomb suspect” (independent.co.uk) the authors are shocked that someone with “wealth, privilege and education” would want to kill the western infidel. “He was from a different background to many of the other al-Qaida recruits who opt for martyrdom.” That statement is not even close to being true, but that which truly incites and inspires these worms is less illusive to the attentive and the vigilant.

What To Do Now That It’s Been Done

By Dr. ROBERT OWENS

You can’t beat good political drama.  The Nuremberg rallies with all those glistening uniforms and snappy torchlight marches.  The May Day Parades with the Soviet gerontocracy standing on Lenin’s tomb smiling at the grandchildren of the people they tortured riding on their shiny tanks and missile launchers.  Even little North Korea stages some pretty impressive mass birthday parties for the Glorious Midget.  We may disagree with everything these totalitarian nightmare regimes stand for.  We may abhor their gangster tactics and hellish fantasies about conquering the world but you have to give them credit for knowing how to wow the crowd.  They know how to stage a scene and then walk on as the Luke Skywalker of megalomania, wave to the great unwashed return to their castle of doom and continue living life large like Dr. No or in Kim Jong-II’ s case Mini-Me.

The Denver acceptance speech with its Styrofoam Acropolis gave us a hint of the political theater to come.  The Victory speech to the teaming masses in Grant Park let us know the curtain was rising.  Like the Perils of Pauline in a serial of sequels the suspense continues in the never-ending crisis.  We must have health care and we must have it now!  We’re so far in debt we need to spend a massive amount quickly or we’ll go bankrupt.  This is an emergency; there’s no time to read the bill; hurry up and vote.  We need this now even though it won’t be implemented until after the next presidential election.  Hurry up vote!

On December 17, 2009, Barack Obama signed Executive Order Amending Executive Order 12425. Sounds interesting, right? Normally it wouldn’t be, because I’m sure Mr. B.O. puts his John Hancock on a bevy of documents on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this one he probably SHOULDN’T HAVE.

I have been a law-abiding citizen all my life. I’ve always played by the rules. That is about to change. The early morning passage today of the Senate health care bill requires every American to purchase health insurance. I refuse. I will not abide by this bill if it is passed into law. And if the government levies a fine, I will not pay it. I’ve had enough.

There comes a time when a line in the sand must be drawn. I’ve just drawn mine. I’ve listened to the outright lies our politicians have spouted in order to pass this legislation, which, by the way, has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with government control.

Democrats declared this bill was deficit neutral. Not so, says the Congressional Budget Office. Alas, this wasn’t reported until minutes after the bill passed the Senate.

Senate Passes Healthcare – Victory with No Honor

senate

By Rev. MICHAEL BRESCIANI

Santa came early on Christmas Eve 2009 for the embattled Democrats of the Senate who passed the Obama Healthcare bill, as expected.

Being forced to buy healthcare by the U.S. government will hardly be seen as a gift from Santa by the citizens of this country, and even now, some Republicans are planning to test the constitutionality of the bill.

Special sweetheart deals for Florida and Connecticut are overshadowed by what may be the most expensive and openly public bribe in U.S. history for the state of Nebraska. The Cornhuskers are mostly insulted by Sen. Nelson’s last minute deal to circumvent paying some 100 million dollars a year to help foot the costs of the bill, but even the Governor of that state, Dave Heineman, says Nebraskans don’t want this kind of exclusion.

Republicans have vowed to fight on in both the last bit of work to reconcile the House and Senate differences in the bill and more importantly with legal challenges and actions intended to question the constitutionality of the bill. Representatives from both the House and Senate have been getting onboard the idea of testing the bills legality; the latest among them is Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., who on Tuesday Dec 22, 2009 renewed the call to others who are doubtful, to check the constitutionality of the bill.
