Sick Minds
Friday, January 29th, 2010
By LARRY WILKE
It goes without saying that those of us with a fully functional mind have seen the profit motivated histrionics of globalony warming as the intellectual perversions that they are. Occasionally, those who might be on the fence relative to this tainted topic get the assistance that they need to see the error of their ways and today it comes from the most unlikely of sources.
Al-Jazeera, the Middle East’s answer to CBS, has been given another alleged audio tape from what has lately become the Mooselim’s answer to “Chatty Cathy” for proper dissemination to the masses. It is no mere coincidence that this recent reemergence of the terrorist toad from the caves of Afghanistan and from beneath the rocks in Pakistan has coincided with the placement of the liberal from Illinois into the Slight House. The most recent topic of his latest simpleminded sermon has to make the liberal subculture cringe. Then again, maybe it doesn’t.
The Same Opinion Still

In 1923 Winston Churchill started publishing his six volume account of the First World War. It was called “The World Crisis”. If one were in a library and saw these volumes without realizing the subject matter one could be forgiven for thinking that, due to the title, one was looking at a biography of Obama. The length of the work would eventually eliminate such a thought, but after Obama’s SOTU performance it would still linger.
“A man convinced against his will,
Is of the same opinion still.”
Mr. Obama is a stubborn man chained to his left-wing, liberal, ideology who refuses to admit that all of his problems are as a direct result of his bad policies, which are increasingly being rejected by the electorate in large numbers and even by many of those who voted for him.
Dawkins on Haiti – Robertson True to Christian Theology?
Friday, January 29th, 2010
By Rev. MICHAEL BRESCIANI
Bill O’Reilly was the first to bring up Pat Robertson’s statement on the Haitian pact with the devil to rid them of French rule. Bill said he didn’t agree with Pat, but Richard Dawkins says in an article posted online that at least Robertson is true to his own theology.
Dawkins starts his article by side stepping the usual requirements and protocol for standard article submission. His name appears before and after the title. He follows that with bold article sub headings and bold parenthetical statements made for effect, (emphasis). All that remains after that is the Dawkins’ style of solipsistic banality for which he is so noted. Most authors would have their articles rejected out of hand regardless of content if they broke this many rules.
Let me begin with my own take on Haiti by saying in no uncertain terms that regardless of what caused this disaster we must all do everything we can to help relieve the misery of these islanders for humanity’s sake. The stories out of Haiti are compelling, and this kind of tragedy is calling for people with heart to respond regardless of their theology or the lack of it. I’m sure the last thing on the minds of those rescued, relieved or restored is the theology of those who gave them aid.
Consider This: Washington…We Have a Problem

In the interest of full disclosure, I must admit that I am a moderate Democrat. More to the point, I have cast four ballots for Barack Obama (Illinois U.S. Senate and presidential primary and general elections). And more than likely, I will cast a similar set of votes for him in 2012. I am a dyed in the wool Obama Democrat and will probably remain one for life.
But, I do believe that some conservative principles can and do work well. And unlike many Democrats, I am not so quick to poo poo the legacy of Ronald Reagan. Yes I believe he was a great president. And I am also a political and diplomatic historian, and I see some trends with this new administration that if they are not reversed (and quickly) then the country is headed for even greater and more severe economic challenges. And if Obama isn’t careful in his approaches, it is certain that he will become a one-term president.
Daletoon of the Day: Extreme Presidential Makeover

Has anyone noticed the new “populist tone” of the President? The big guns have been called in to make the transformation, but can it dupe the likes of people bitterly clinging to guns and religion?
Beyond Brown: The Second Round
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010
By Dr. ROBERT OWENS
In the recent Massachusetts election Republican Scott Brown confounded the purveyors of conventional wisdom and caused a magnitude 10 earthquake in the political world by liberating the Kennedy Senate Fiefdom from the grip of the Democrat machine. To the 24 hour talking-heads this changes everything since the Democrats can no longer cut-off debate in the Senate though they can still stifle debate in the House and hold the Executive Department in their iron fist. But did the Party of Power really experience anything besides a bump in the road?
In President Obama’s estimation, “we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people.” In reality Mr. Obama has made 52 addresses or statements specifically on his health care proposals, holding 42 news conferences, participating in 158 interviews, hosting 23 town hall meetings, making 46 out-of-town trips to 58 cities and towns in 30 states. If he hasn’t been speaking directly to the American people what has he been doing? He’s on TV more than Vinny from Sham Wow. Considering that after the seismic electoral event in Massachusetts Mr. Obama’s political Svengali David Axelrod said, “We’ll have to think through this next year from the standpoint of tactics but in substance the mission can’t change.” It isn’t that the President hasn’t talked enough the problem is he isn’t listening. Communication is a two-way exchange and what we have here is a failure to communicate.
Larry’s Town Hall Meeting: On Taxing and Spending
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010By LARRY WILKE
Yesterday, both John W. and Richard said that they would vote for me for president. Lets take the “news” of today and lets suppose that I was asked a question about the deficit and the economy. Lets see exactly what my “exploratory committee” would be in for.
As of today, as of this minute, the Obama deficit will cost every man, woman and child $41,300.00. Tomorrow that amount will be higher. Actually. The amount just went up as I was speaking. This is the sad reality of allowing the liberals to have the keys to the cash register.
Snap Answer: Four Steps to Economic Recovery the Media Can’t See

Mort Zukerman, editor-in-chief of US News and World Report, in his article, “How To Get Americans Working Again” opines that there is no snap answer as to how accelerate job growth. He is wrong.
I’m not an intellectual, nor a PhD., nor have I ever labeled myself an expert, but do have a snap answer to his seemingly perplexing question. An answer that is guaranteed to lower the unemployment rate, kick start the jobs market and get the economy on track again. In four simple steps:
CFR Neocon Says Open the Floodgates to Haiti

By ROBERT STARK
Many political figures are offering their solutions to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti. Elliott Abrams, a senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, wrote an op-ed in the Washington Times saying that what Haiti needs is a Diaspora. Abrams says that “a larger Haitian Diaspora would be a far better base for the country’s economic future than aid pledges that may or may not be met. If several hundred thousand more Haitians were able to migrate, those Dominican, Honduran or Salvadoran numbers suggest that remittances to Haiti would give its economy a huge and continuing jolt. Abrams points out that the Haitian Diaspora sends home $1.9 billion in remittances. In 2007 the US gave Haiti $210 Million in foreign aid. Considering the poverty we would be importing it would cost us much less just to send the money directly in aid. Thanks to Israeli Lobby which Abrams has a major role in we give Israel approximately $3 Billion a year in aid.
