Traditional historians agree that the predominantly black church in America should remind itself of the horrors of slavery. The atrocities experienced at the hands of Southern Democrats instigated a spiritual revolution among black Christians and brought about a passionate black church which recognized that God cared for them.
Contemporaries speculate why many black American Christians annually observe what is termed “Watch Night” services, a yearly religious observation to bring in the New Year. The Watch Night tradition dates back to 1862 when President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation that took effect on January 1, 1863, as the nation approached its third year of the bloody civil war. The proclamation declared that “all persons held as slaves” within the rebellious states “are, and henceforward shall be free.”

Recent WikiLeaks revelations exposed the hypocrisy exercised by Arabs when it comes to the words they verbalize in public or in Arabic as opposed to what they say in private or in English.
WikiLeaks has shown the Saudis to side with Israel against Iran and its nuclear ambitions by making it known that Israel is not the only concerned nation, anxious about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s aspirations. These unearthed publications revealed a truth, long claimed by leaders of
the Jewish state, that Iran poses a threat to the rest of the world, including its Muslim neighbors. It cannot be refuted now. The bully from the Persian Gulf is not only an Israeli concern. Dealing with it forcefully is the masked wish of most Arab leaders as they have secretly pleaded with the U.S. to take aggressive action against Iran.
Most recently, WikiLeaks has confirmed the covert cooperation between the PA’s and the Israeli security forces. The June 13, 2007, memo from the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv has made clear that during the civil war in Gaza that ended with the Hamas takeover, the Israeli security service was provided
with all the intelligence that Abbas’ internal security agency collected on Hamas. The Fatah security forces sided with Israel against their Hamas brothers. Surprised? Not quite.
Editor’s Note: In this short video, Ronald Reagan offers Christmas wishes from 1981. Merry Christmas to all, especially to those who would attempt to prevent anyone from uttering this simple phrase.

The headline says it all, “Obama told lawmakers not passing tax deal could end presidency…” The White House was quick to deny the truth of the statement attributed to a Democratic lawmaker going the extra mile to say the President had never spoken to Representative DeFazio, in effect calling him a liar. However, the general consensus among Washington watchers is that the Congressman told the truth and the White House told the lie. Up is down, down is up, and so goes life in the capitol of the Empire.
My question is if even Democratic congressmen leak that Mr. Obama and his administration are planting the flag in the ground on this tax and spend monstrosity, in effect saying this is their Gettysburg, why don’t the Republicans get it? Why are Democrats smarter than Republicans?
With so many people asking so much of St. Nick this year, where does Santa turn for help?

As a quick summary of the new policy to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell — don’t care, never did. But let’s get one thing straight. This is a 14k gold-plated example of identity and group-coalition politics. For those readers who are dubious of the preceding statement, ask but one question. What’s really new about the policy?
The answer is that nothing much is really new. Gays have undoubtedly served in every American conflict, as well they should have. Aside from not being enthralled with the small army of women following Joseph Hooker’s Army of the Potomac, or not being as impressed with throngs of exotic women calling “Me Love You Long Time” in Saigon, gays have always been able to serve the nation if that were their desire.
