Political Liability

My, how the worm turns.  Just a few months after the Bolshevik beatification in Denver, the Demokratic deity who used to walk on water in the eyes of his liberal contemporaries, is now being called “Typhoid Barry” by those liberals who still wish to keep their seats at the tax trough in Washington.

The Baltimore Sun reports in “Vulnerable Dems seek distance from Obama” that in “picking through” Obama’s bloated budget “many incumbents and candidates seem to be finding something they love-to campaign against.”  The reality of being a political punching bag is nothing new for Obama.  What is new about all of this is the identity of those who have been recently throwing the rabbit clouts.  Lately, the ones dishing out the low blows are the forlorn fascists who used to sprint to the head of the parade in order to be seen getting their grimy hands on the Obama hammer and sickle flag or to beat the demagogue’s drum.

Last year, the harmonious hum of the moronic mantras of “hope” and “change” were so strong that even life-long Republicans were susceptible to the socialist’s siren sing-song.  This short-term short sightedness will hopefully remove Arlen “the ferret” Specter from Washington.  Knowing that his under the table bank accounts can’t possibly end up as well padded if he ends up outside of Washington, Specter is now leading the charge of the “slight brigade” against the humorously unpopular Obama.  Ever the homeboy, Specter is railing about trade policies hurting Pennsylvania steel.  Had Specter been more of the coquette, he could have held out for some of the Nelsonian payoffs for Pennsylvania steel from Obama for his “support” of the health scare.

Even the recently “rewarded” Blanche Lincoln has been dealing out the size ten boot ankle taps to the battered Bolshevik.  The farm interests are now of interest to Arkansas’ “Honest Abe.”  Her web site “blares her opposition to Obama’s farm budget: ‘Blanche stands up for Arkansas farm families’.”  Blanche, as an Arkansas politician, who by Clintonian comparisons DOES look like Honest Abe, couldn’t possibly have spent all of the monies “promised” (bribed) by Obama and Reid in order to secure her “vote” for the health scare pogrom.  When your political future lies (literally) in the balance, it is important to recognize that yesterday’s commodity has quickly become today’s political liability.

Obama decided to host a little scrum with a number of these sweaty socialists so that they could sound off and look all “independent” or “centrist” for the imbeciles back home.  Lincoln “urged Obama to ‘push back against people in our own party that want extremes’.”  The irony of Lincoln looking directly at Obama, whose name in socialist Sudoku is “extremes,” and saying that couldn’t have been lost upon anyone in the room.

Any progressive port in a storm seems to be the prevailing notion when your position as a mere moneychanger appears to be in jeopardy.  Even the other California kook Barbara Boxer, has been seen skulking around Washington looking for Obama with a sock full of quarters behind her back.  “California is hurting,” she says.

Being a “professional politician” has to pay well from just the standpoint of observational logic.  Some of these “public servants” spend multiple millions of their own dollars as well as multiple millions of contributed dollars for a position that allegedly “pays” about a few hundred thousand dollars.  This so-called itch for “public service” isn’t what turns people like Jon Corzine and Rodham into altruists and philanthropists.  Thus the urgency of keeping their weenie perpetually in the Washington campfire.

If Obama were any kind of a man, as opposed to taking this beating from his own communist contemporaries, he would say the following.  “These incumbents have been in Washington for years, they are the ‘status quo’ that has brought this economy to its knees.  They are the ones responsible for what it is that I have ‘inherited’.  Sure, my policies and programs of socialist economic repression have been very effective at bringing about the worst type of ‘change’, but let’s face it folks, I couldn’t have done this much damage all by myself.”

We read that these “endangered” Demokrats have “a catalogue of ways to establish their distance from controversial aspects of his administration.”  The question becomes, will Obama strike the “et tu Brute?” pose, will he try to become as invisible, useless and forgotten as his Secretary of Statists or will his pendulous ego overwhelm any common sense and political acumen that he may have?  As always with Obama, to ask the question is to answer it.

All of these allegedly aggrieved and aggravated liberal incumbents will fall right back into fifth column formation once they have managed to sufficiently hoodwink their constituencies and the elections have been certified.  Today’s stern grimaces and wringing hands will quickly become mid-November’s Bolshevik back slaps and fascist fist bumps as the ONLY concern for the Demokrats is the concept of not losing seats to the Republicans.  They will say and do anything to ensure that their “Contract ON America” continues beyond 2012 and Obama will put up with anything so that his friends can all try their “David Copperfield centrist ruse” in 2010.  Or will he.

Were the liberals to take a well deserved thumping come November, Obama is then perfectly “set up” to recycle his ridiculous excuse ruse.  I can hear it now, “the acrimonious and disputatious Republicans have blocked all of my legislation.  We must ‘finish the job’. (More on this later.) I need four more years to get the job done.”

Obama’s individual ego is still significantly larger than each and every one of the collective egos of the incumbent liberals combined.  Their fates, individually or as a group, are irrelevant to him.  His fundamental goal is to secure four more years for himself.  The “victims” of such collectivist collateral damage are inconsequential to Obama.  If they end up perishing politically after they’ve been heaving grenades at him manufactured with self-preservation in mind, Obama will be unconcerned that “non-team players” have ended up being struck down by their own socialist shrapnel.

The seats now held by the liberals represent the “party unity” (this is what Obama negatively calls “lock step” when he is referring to the Republicans.) that Obama needs demands and in order for his “Target America First” totalitarianism to continue virtually unimpeded.  Nothing will be too outrageous when it comes to saving the liberal majorities.

Burning effigies of Obama outside of “endangered” Demokratic candidate’s offices, with said “endangered” Demokrat holding the flaming flambeau for the photo op are just the price that Obama will have to pay for “party unity” come December.  It’s OK Barack, they are politicians, they don’t mean what they say BEFORE an election because the constituents quickly become invisible and irrelevant AFTER an election.  If you had more than 143 days of “experience,” you would know this.

The incumbent liberals were sweating to beat the band as Obama has essentially said to them, “I have my office, good luck keeping yours.”  He said, “If anybody’s searching for a lesson from Massachusetts (obviously Obama ISN’T.)  I promise you, the answer is not to do nothing.  We have got to finish the job on health care.  We have got to finish the job on financial regulatory reform.  We’ve got to finish the job.”

Obama doesn’t understand that these “jobs” that he keeps crowing about are the vehicles that have created resounding voter resentment, double digit unemployment and a fifteen trillion dollar deficit.  Please keep trying to “finish the job”!  Collectivist clue: Try “creating” a “job” or two for the middle class as opposed to trying to protect your own.

He doesn’t seem to see that the “jobs he wants to finish” have created a “gap between Obama’s governing agenda and Congressional Democrat’s political interests in the election.”  He wants these liberals to go down with the ship.  Proof of that comes from “an implicit promise of support for those Democrats who work with him.”  Mr. “Oh-for-FOUR” wants to “support” these incumbents.  Using his track record as a template, I certainly “hope” that he does.
