We’re Surprised Why?

I just finished reading a piece that someone wrote regarding our President. It spoke of all the things this person noticed since Mr. Obama took office. Of course, it had me thinking. I haven’t written in awhile, and I found it quite easy to pick up where I left off. I, too, noticed many a thing, but it was during the campaign.
I noticed his “mentors.” They all just happened to be racists, elitists, communists, socialists, terrorists. Swell group, wouldn’t you say? I noticed he got into college with the help of a rich Saudi. I noticed how it appeared his path was paved for him, years ago. I remember telling my friends and others, that if he should get into this high office of Presidency, it just might be a plan of God’s that would lead us down an even darker path.
He slid through every crack and couldn’t even do his job as a state Senator, because if he didn’t answer radically left, he answered with a “Present.” He got by the Pastor Rick Warren at the debate with John McCain with that incredibly lame line, “It’s above my pay grade,” when questioned about when life began, and Warren didn’t even persuade him to speak further. It even appeared that members of that church were clapping to Mr. Obama’s answers.
I don’t think I am naïve, but shouldn’t Christians be against abortions? So I asked, how is it possible to be a Christian and vote for someone who goes totally against the Savoir, Jesus Christ?
Jesus would not be going to a church that used His Father’s name in vain and be a part of a group of racists. Jesus loved everyone, color and gender made no difference. Yet here our President sat for twenty years and said he never heard his “Pastor” speak ill of the white man, even though the church’s website (that I managed to read) was taken down after stories and videos leaked out. Our President continued to say he never heard him speak in a racist way, and soon after he said that he would stick by this “Pastor”– until it caused such a stir. As you know, soon after, Mr. Obama cut all his ties to him because it hurt his career.
I would say our President brought division during the campaign and is continuing to do so. I have never seen a country more divided since he has been on the scene. We were never speaking of race; he was, and he brought it up too many times to count and uses it to his advantage as often as he feels necessary.
His wife’s thesis was on racism. In other words, racism has been on their mind for years. His “church” was a black liberation ”church” that put Farrakhan on a pedestal, but our President after 20 years never noticed the racism there and the hate spewing forth from his “Reverend.”
I purposely put quotation marks around “Church,” “Reverend” and “Pastor” because the building where his “Pastor” spoke, I would never call a church. This building does not deserve that status, and the speaker does not deserve to be called Reverend or Pastor. I would never expect a man of that position to be speaking with such venom.
How anyone can still defend Mr. Obama is beyond me. He has spent more money in a few months than Bush did in his eight years. Our President totally lacks experience. Even worse, he is making us look bad by apologizing for us, and taking away our military defenses here and taking them away from our allies also, leaving them in jeopardy. President Bush kept us safe for eight years. I now fear for us more than ever, and by the way we have not one thing to apologize for. Yet President Obama must feel so, because he seems to apologize to everyone everywhere he goes. However, no other country has lost more people, shed more blood and gave more aid than these wonderful United States.
He has lied so many times already, and we should all notice his corrupt administration. I love my country and it sickens me and saddens me what he has already done.
P.S. I still don’t believe he was born here.

I think Ms. Cascio is a talented writer who is very astute. I’ve read all of her articles and wish there were more.

Such a great article I had just read called “We’re Surprised Why,” written by journalist, Ms Barbara Cascio!
I feel the same sediments with our new President in Office and our country on “High Alert” once again! He promised during his term in office he and his staff would be buckling down with their sleeves rolled up working many hours to help the situation America is in!
I do not see any sign of any progress nor do I beleive in his experience of qualities, such nonsense these past eight months of traveling around the world as I also must agree he is making America look bad, not to mention all the extra expenses he is shelling out!

What a great article I had just read called, “We’re Surprised Why?,”
by journalist Ms Barbara Cascio, as I feel the same sediments!
First of all our country is back on “High Alert” as our new President has been traveling the World. He promised when he got in Office he and his staff would be rolling up their sleeves working many hours at the problems at hand, which happens to be tremendously chaotic, scarey and extremely pertenent for the present and future of our country! I also feel so let down as I feel he is an unexperienced person for this job as our President of the USA. As it seems, all I read are trivial things he has done in the last eight months in office, what a disgrace to all of us in our country America!

I completely agree – the writing has been on the wall for quite some time. It is absolutely baffling how many Americans are still blind to who this man is and what his motives truly are. In a few short months, Obama has already made giant strides in undermining this great country. I fear for our future as I never have before; this fear surpasses that I felt after 9-11 and I would never have thought that possible. After 9-11, our fears were founded in threats that came from the outside. It is a completely different and more hopeless situation when those you fear are here at home. Many people should have been paying more attention during the campaign to who this person truly is. Much damage has been done because of their failure to do so. May God have mercy on us all.
Thank you for your article. It is always uplifting to know that there are people, like yourself, who are paying attention and are not afraid to get the truth out.

Barbara Cascio is RIGHT. Thank you for this article. I’m SO sick and tired of all the fluff pieces and “mainstream” media gushing. We need more articles like this that get right to the point with such clarity.
I have no idea how so many people can lack core common sense and either ignore,agree with,or simply cannot see the radicals,anti Americans,Marxists and communists etc that surround and have surrounded Obama’s life. A person is known in part by the company he keeps. Obama’s “company” isn’t anything I want any part of.
Thanks for the wise words and for standing up for OUR America and our values and for all the Americans who don’t want to go down the dark road Obama’s dragging us into. God bless!

Barbara has repeated many known absurdities about Obama but I think it is so unbelievable that one can’t help repeating them because sane people just can’t buy such lies as this dumbed down country has done by electing Obama. Even after all this time it is still beyond belief that he got away with such obvious lies. I say a candidate who is caught in just one lie should be shunned and driven from the campaign with righteous indignation. A liar doesn’t deserve any support. I think what is more revealing is that there are so many gullible fools in this country. His true colors will be revealed over and over again. Maybe even enough to break through the concrete skulls of the mental defficient people who voted for the king of all liars.

Barbara is a very talented writer who ‘cuts thru the crap’ and gives her points in a straight up style that is appreciated! And as always, she’s right on the money with this topic.
