MICHAEL BRESCIANI

It is clear that a major shift has occurred in the American way of life in the last two years. For over 230 years we were involved in the question of how we could best make our mark in the world. Much more than mere foreign policy we had to “let our light” shine because the entire world was watching.

Few Americans in today’s political and moral climate have any doubt that our light has seriously dimmed. At no time in our history more than now does it appear that we have brought on an administration that seems to think that it has been given a mandate to make its mark on America. More than a “change” we can believe in, this has become a change we can hardly endure.

We have taken to reeling instead of standing as an example to the rest of the world. This administration is spending like a drunk out on the town all the while blaming the former administration for the deficits it is incurring. Liberals’ dimmest minds have conspired to advance their long awaited agenda on a citizenry that was always suspicious of it and of late has begun to cringe at its application.

Missouri has emphatically declared that being forced to buy insurance coverage from the feds under Obamacare is an idea whose time must not be allowed to come. Arizona remains defiant under the brave leadership of Jan Brewer even as that state is nearly under siege from a foreign power. Seven million people in California have been upstaged by one homosexual judge who thinks their carefully placed votes have no voice at all in the will of the people.

Attorney General Holder has decided that America has never faced up to its racism but it is apparent that he has never faced up to the fact that he missed basic colors in grade school. America is more concerned with green and red than with black and white at this juncture in our history. We know the green of our dollars is not a bottomless pit of wealth that cannot be exhausted. We also know that the red blood of many Americans shed throughout the world was to preserve individualism and free enterprise, not big government, socialism or ideologies not set forth by our founding fathers.

What is being done to America is as hard to believe as what is being proposed, as in placing a Muslim Mosque across the street from one of the most sacred sites in the entire United States known as “Ground Zero.”

Now there’s the plan to spend 4.3 billion dollars to ensure kids have a more healthy lunches in our schools. Feeding them twisted history, Godless claptrap and socialistic philosophies can be overlooked for a few wholesome veggies on their plates.

We have a liberally biased media that has done everything but sign a contract in which they promise to tell us everything but the truth. Hollywood takes up the cause of socialism’s twin, the moral decline, as it always has, to blast our children with fantasy, sleaze and violence all in the name of that high holy and sacred pastime we call, entertainment.

It is hard to impress the world with our moral stand if we are seen to be always staggering from the weight of the much touted “change we can believe in.”

But wait; America it seems is about to make some changes that it can believe in, or at the least can live with. The one party system in the hand of this administration has been making its mark, but it turns out to be more of a whipping. This unrestrained beating seems to be facing an angry citizenry that is now approaching close enough to the tormentor in the upcoming midterm elections to be able to snatch the whip right out of the hand of the administration. This would be a start but not a complete solution. There are many who are not sure we can survive the damages already done to our fiscal well being. The moral decline is another matter.

Preachers of the gospel who have not sold out to the apostasy of the hour are still proclaiming that one inalterable truth, that a nations well being is always inextricably linked to its morality. It may be hard to convince someone in Hollywood who spends 800 million dollars to produce a movie that by even the weakest moral codes may not be worth fifty cents. It is even harder to convince an administration that has laden trillions of dollars of future debt on our children that someday the bill will come due.

The day is finally here when those with a prophetic calling must admit that anyone, even politicians, newsmen or pundits that have opened their eyes and are proclaiming that the nation is turning the wrong way, are our compatriots in the noblest cause of all. One thing is sure in the business of prophetic warnings, seeing is step one in the process. Long before they were called prophets they were called “seers.” (1 Sam 9:9) They were gifted with unrestrained, unbiased and accurate sight. Those who “see” are still the last best resort in times of deep trouble.

The only difference, according to the scriptures, between the average man and the prophet is that God allows some people to see, but he commands the prophet to see. The best example of this is seen in the eighth chapter of the book of the prophet Ezekiel.

Ezekiel was commanded to go and actually observe what the priests and civil authorities were engaged in and then prophesy to them in a stern call to repentance. Should they object to his prophecies he was armed with the eyewitness reports that God had arranged for him to have in hand.

Did they repent? Sadly, we must report that they did not and it resulted in the demise of their nation. That demise has lasted for centuries and not until the British mandate of 1948 has it seen a remedy. Only now that Israel is once again a free and independent nation has God begun again to deal with her in a favorable way.

Prophets of old were like the ancient mariner’s chart, compass and sextant. Today they can be likened to radar, sonar and GPS tracking systems that tell us where we want to go but more importantly they tell us, where we don’t want to go. It would seem that a nation willing to dismiss the scriptures, the constitution and its own history so readily would not pay much heed to a few vociferous prophets. This dismissal could result in our own demise and can only be done at our own peril.

What happens at the polls in 2010 may be the first sign of whether anyone is listening to her prophets or anyone else for that matter. It will only be a first step, but it will be a welcomed step for those who want to see America continue to make a mark in the world rather than being marked up with the bruises and gashes from an unwanted ideology that has left other countries in utter ruin.

Subjectivism and sensationalism is never allowed in the mindset of a real prophet otherwise they could not start any proclamation with the familiar “thus saith the Lord.” The result of unheeded prophecy is known by all but it is never because the prophecies were not known. It was always because the prophecies went unheeded.

So what happened to Israel in Ezekiel’s day? It is not a pretty sight, even though it was completely avoidable. The warnings in Ezekiel eight capitulated to the judgments seen in chapter nine. Ezekiel exclaimed, “Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.” (Eze 9: 9, 10)

Rather than “change we can believe in” we had better shift to “change we can’t afford not to make” in 2010 and 2012 respectively in order to avoid the same fate as our ancient counterpart and modern ally known as the nation of Israel. May God help us!

America is fast becoming the land of the free and the home of absurdities. Clinton era U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton sided with Obama’s view that Arizona’s new SB 1070 immigration law is “misguided” in a ruling that temporarily blocks elements of Arizona’s immigration reforms.

Even while three Phoenix police officers were shot, one fatally, and human traffic, guns and drugs are pouring across Arizona’s borders, Mr. Obama took center stage on ABCs the View. No one could have summarized Obama’s visit to the View better than former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich who said, because the President is charming and articulate he makes a great guest but his job is to be the President. According to the polls over seventy percent of Americans don’t think he is doing such a great job with the latter.

Those who first used the term “narcissistic” to describe the President were judged harshly but after the visit to the View during a major border crisis the term may have come into its own. Shunning Arizona’s Governor Brewer and the beleaguered citizens of her state for some PR work can hardly be called Presidential. This President is said to be “historic” and while there may be some truth to that assessment it is more likely that he will be recorded into history as the President who didn’t seem to know when the campaigning ended and the job began.

Sen. John McCain has pledged a $5,000.00 donation to Arizona to help defray the cost of defending SB 1070 in an effort to encourage others nationwide to contribute to the fund. On the twentieth of July the fund had already swelled to over $500,000.00 and is expected to top 1 mil in record time.

Two crack border county sheriffs, Larry A. Dever and Paul Babeu, who are being sued by the ACLU, are leading the charge to raise funds for Arizona because state and county funds have been eaten up by the overwhelming surge of illegal’s in that state. The Legacy Foundation is gathering the funds for the state. Legacy is based in Des Moines, Iowa and can be reached online to make donations. Border Sheriffs.org launched to help those named in a suit against Arizona have been actively raising funds to help those Sheriffs and more than 15 county attorneys and sheriffs embroiled in the fight.

The RGA (Republican Governors Association) is another organization undertaking for Arizona’s battle against illegal immigration. The RGA fired off an email only hours after Susan Bolton issued her ruling asking for support and donations for the defense of SB 1070.

Gov. Brewer, who swore to appeal the ruling said, “We know liberals in Washington, D.C., and throughout the country will continue to do everything possible to distort what our law does and smear anyone who endorses it, which is why it is vital you support the RGA,” Brewer wrote. “The RGA helps governors like me who are willing to tell the federal government when enough, is enough. Simply put, the RGA is a key partner and with me on the frontlines.” The RGA has a dot org site that can be reached online as well.

In the meantime Obama will continue to titillate viewers of the View and those on other contrived and bespeckled PR pit stops along the way, assuring them that America is a-okay even if the facts and figures betray his rosy proclamations. While absurdity yet rules it seems appropriate to make my own proclamation borrowed from the ancient texts of the Wisdom of Solomon.

“A leader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding.” (Proverbs 28:16a NAS)

http://www.americanprophet.org has since 2005 featured the articles of columnist Rev Michael Bresciani along with news and reviews that have earned this site the title of The Website for Insight Millions have read his timely reports and articles in online journals and print publications across the nation and the globe.

By ROBERT STARK

The Anti-Defamation League and the Government of Mexico have filed separate lawsuits against the State of Arizona over it’s new immigration law which will take affect July 29. Lawyers representing Mexico filled a brief supporting the law suit which was brought of by the ACLU which they are taking to Federal Court claiming that the law violates the U.S. Constitution. The document put out by the Government of Mexico states that the law threatens “the human and civil rights of its citizens when they are present in Arizona.” Mexican President Felipe Calderon has condemned the bill, stating it “opens the door to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement.”

While the Government of Mexico is outraged about Arizona its own immigration laws are far harsher than Arizona’s. While Arizona’s calls for the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants under Mexican Law entering the country illegally is punishable by up to two years in prison and an attempted re-entry by up to 10 years. Those who violate their visas can be sentenced to up to six years and the government of Mexico has the authority to arrest foreigners whom it deems as a threat to its national and economic interest.

Several Congressman have taken up Mexico’s Government on its blatant hypocrisy. Referring to Mexico’s President’s opposition of the Arizona Bill Rep. Steve King of Iowa said “why would Mr. Calderon have any objections to an Arizona law that is less draconian than his own, one he has pledged to enforce?” Rep. Ted Poe of Texas stated in a speech on the House Floor titled “Is President Calderon Hypocritical?” that “Mexico has long been doing the job of illegal alien deportation, and it seems to me it’s hypocritical of Mexico and President Calderon to criticize the United States or Arizona for enforcing our illegal immigration laws. They are far less severe than Mexico’s illegal immigration laws. So when President Calderon comes here tomorrow to complain about America and America’s illegal immigration policy, perhaps Calderon would prefer America adopt Mexico’s immigration policies.”

While the Nation of Israel has not interfered with Arizona immigration stance many of major organization that represent Israel’s interest in the United States such as the Anti-Defamation League, American Jewish Committee, and Simon Wiesenthal Center have also joined Mexico in denouncing the bill. The ADL has gone as far to file a lawsuit against Arizona.

In a joint statement ADL Arizona’s regional chair Miriam Weisman and regional director Bill Straus stated “rather than making Arizona more secure, we believe this law will have the opposite effect. Fear of heightened law enforcement scrutiny about immigration status will deter victims and witnesses from coming forward and cooperating with the police, making it significantly more difficult for police to do their jobs. We understand that secure borders are a legitimate concern, but SB 1070 does not effectively address that concern. Rather, this bill drives a wedge between the Latino community – whose members are frequent targets of bias-motivated violence – and those local law enforcement agencies entrusted with protecting them. The bill is a manifestation of anger and frustration, fueled by exaggerated fears of violence and passed against a backdrop of increasing xenophobia. It is ill-conceived, misguided, and should not be implemented.

Much like Mexico Israel also has taken a harsh stance in regards to illegal immigration. In an article titled “Focus U.S.A. / Reminders of Israel in the Arizona immigration debate” in the Israeli Newspaper Haaretz Natasha Mozgovaya states that “As the debate stirred by the new Arizona immigration law remains heated, it’s hard for those who remember the years of the “hunt” for foreign workers at the Old Central Bus Station in Tel Aviv not to see the similarity.” She points out that “In the U.S., some representatives of the Jewish community have plunged vigorously into the current debate.”

Mozgovaya mentions that the ADL’s Abe Foxman told Haaretz: “Well, in terms of size and dimension Israel is nowhere near the U.S.” She responds that In the United States, there are about 11 million illegal immigrants. Some communities are much better organized than the foreign workers in Israel, and the immigration policy based upon the law of return doesn’t provide Israel much space or willingness to absorb them legally.” Foxman who has denounced Arizona stated that “the United States should show full support for Israel, which did what any other sovereign nation would do in defense of its people and borders,” in reference to the Flotilla incident, however he has not given the same courtesy to Arizona.

On a similar note Assaf Oron points out in an article titled “Israel has been ‘Arizona’ all along” that “In Israel, laws like the Arizona one – and worse – have been in effect ever since independence. No, I’m not talking about the Occupation, but inside Israel proper. Any resident sixteen years of age or older must at all times carry an Identity card, and present it upon demand to a senior police officer, head of Municipal or Regional Authority, or a policeman or member of the Armed forces on duty. And guess against which ethnic group this requirement is enforced.”

Mexico has used illegal immigration to import its nations poverty rather than taking care of its own citizens and has long used the race card and shown its blatant hypocrisy in regards to immigration policy. Israel is a fairly wealthy country but has become dependent an the US for aid and military support. Both nations excessive great influence over the US, Mexico through demographics and Israel though Lobbying. Our elected officials need to stop listening to foreign governments and their interest groups and listen to the American people who want our border secured and immigration laws enforced. Other nations have much harsher immigration laws and have no right to dictate ours.

Every time the President speaks, makes another appointment or ramrods a new bill through the democratically controlled congress, he reinforces what millions of Americans now feel; this President does not love America.

With Arizonans cringing in fear even hundreds of miles from the border from the aftermath of brutally murdered ranchers and border police, we might expect any other President to spring into action. We would not expect 1200 National Guardsmen to come down and sit at desks. Most of us would hope for ten or twelve thousand to come down as John McCain has suggested, armed to the teeth and ready to rumble with anyone who endangered the lives of Americans.

The Obama administration has chosen a different rumble. In the 1960s Charlotte Keyes popularized the saying, “Suppose They Gave a War and nobody came.” Who could have guessed that as America slipped into the backward socialism of the nations we endured against throughout the entire cold war, that we would produce a President that would show up at the war; but after all, it turns out; it is the wrong war!

On Tuesday July 6, 2010 the Department of Justice filed suit against Arizona’s S.B. 1070, a law established to curb the influx and subsequent overburdening of that state’s economy by illegal immigrants. The defense of S.B. 1070 will be made on many levels but the most important is that the State of Arizona was forced to enact some measure to counteract the lack enforcement of the existing federal laws. The Arizona law makes good sense to most people but, not to our President.

It is expected that the DOJ will raise the Supremacy Clause in their suit. Put simply, the idea that federal law is supreme or supersedes state law is really not the argument. It is whether the fed is enforcing the existing laws. Arizona hopes the courts will see their dilemma and side with them based on this argument. Even as if by osmosis the twisted Alinsky-ism fostered by this administration seems to be leeching like slowly into the nation’s better judgment so now; it’s anybody’s guess if it has reached all the federal judges as well.

Comparing federal law against state law is almost a game of semantics or who holds trump. With the influx of kidnappings, murders, gang violence, dangerous drugs, weapons of all kinds and human trafficking rising daily across the borders of the Grand Canyon State, it is not a comparison of laws that is called for but rather a hard look at an oath sworn by the President on the day of his inauguration.

Before taking office every President of the United States must take the oath of office as prescribed by article 2, section 1 of the United States Constitution. The oaths says “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

We can only ask; if it is indeed the Presidents responsibility to defend the Constitution, is it not understood that he should protect the people for whom the Constitution stands?

Let’s look at another oath sworn by the guardsmen that are being deployed to Arizona to man desks and computers. It should be noted that the oath taken by National Guardsmen has a different wording than the rest of the military. The language includes reference to the particular state to which they are deployed.

The oath says: “I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of (state name) against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of (state name) and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to law and regulations. So help me God.

This oath requires guardsmen to defend the State of Arizona if that is where they are sent. They must defend it from all enemies foreign or domestic. Since Guardsmen are trained to fight and use weapons just like the rest of the servicemen in this country isn’t requiring them to man desks and computers a perversion of their sworn purpose. Perhaps when the going gets rough they could chuck their computers at the drug cartel and hide behind their desks as guns are heard crackling on the border.

In better times America held oaths of office in higher regard than political ambition. President Obama, who seems to be on in an unending campaign tour, would let his political ambitions take precedence over any oath known. If as we think, he is opposing S.B. 1070 with an eye to amnesty and full appeasement of the Latino voting bloc for his re-election bid in 2012 then we are once again forced to conclude the worst.

America’s security and tranquility have once again taken a backseat in this administrations whirlwind attempt to change America into something it has never been nor wants to be. God help us.

An oath upheld has the effect of procuring confidence in those to whom the oath is sworn. It quells our fears and relaxes all unwarranted trepidation and that it is why we hold the oath in such high regard over political ambition. To wit: “For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.” (Hebrews 6:16)

http://www.americanprophet.org has since 2005 featured the articles of columnist Rev Michael Bresciani along with news and reviews that have earned this site the title of The Website for Insight Millions have read his timely reports and articles in online journals and print publications across the nation and the globe.
