Attorney General Eric Holder again demonstrates how every one of his decisions is driven by ideology. Two examples have recently made the news.
Today the Obama administration announced that it will file a lawsuit against Arizona’s new immigration law. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had previously announced the Obama administration’s intent in an interview given on TV in Ecuador. The lawsuit doesn’t even make the claim popular among the left that the law is discriminatory in any way. No, the basis for the lawsuit is that Arizona is trying to enforce federal law that the federal government has refused to enforce.
Comically Incorrect: Reading the Arizona Bill

While it is to be expected that no one has read a 2000-page bill on healthcare, why is it that everyone says he or she hasn’t read the rather compact Arizona immigration law?

This has got to be one of the most irresponsible things that he and the President have done. The President laughed at Arizona, to a crowd who trusts him. Holder is criticize,s a la monkey see, monkey do, the bill. Meanwhile, the bill is the exact opposite of what they are portraying it to be. No racial profiling is allowed. It is prohibited!
The bill is 10 pages and Holder admits he never read it! He actually admitted he “glanced” at it. Imagine you telling your boss that you glanced at the job he gave you to do. Do you think you just might get fired?
They have caused many people to hate Arizona when they should be apologizing for misinformation and misguiding. One should be able to trust their President for the correct information. Instead, I and others have to double check him, this should be unheard of.

What to do with a cold-blooded killer? Deciding where to try the terrorists is a decision that just keeps getting tougher and tougher. But at least we have Attorney General Eric Holder to dive into those kinds of decisions for us.
America: In the Beginning of Sorrows

Not everyone is directly affected by the latest injustices or is a victim of a crime, but it is impossible not to be touched in some way by the absurdities and atrocities we see all around us every day. Who is not made sad just hearing of these things?
Unless a person is so involved in their private little pursuit of happiness and is too busy to even hear of what is taking place just outside of their own sphere they cannot escape the feeling that something has gone awry in America, and the world.
This week’s news is but a cross section of last week’s, last month’s or last year’s news. This week we heard of a judge in Oklahoma who forced a five year old to testify in court against her rapist. After ducking under courtroom benches and chairs to avoid even looking at her rapist the defendant is then given a paltry one year sentence for the rape of the child.
