WHAT’S WRONG WITH ACTIVE SELF DEFENSE?
Active self-defense is a preemptive act designed to thwart impending aggression by enemy forces. Examples of aggressive self-defense are numerous, but the ones dear to my heart have to do with the Arab-Israeli conflict. The first one that comes to mind is the preemptive Israeli strike on the Egyptian and Syrian airfields at the dawn of the Six-Day War in 1967. On the eve of that historic week, Egypt and Syria massed their heavily armed troops along their Israeli borders, declared their objective of annihilating the Jewish state, closed the straights of Tiran to Israeli shipping, while announcing hourly threats of violence and genocide. The preemptive strike by Israel changed the map, and turned the death threat into secured living. On the eve of the Yom Kippur war in 1973, hours before the Egyptian and Syrian invasion (of the Sinai and the Golan Heights respectively), Israel learned of that plan. Golda Meir, (the Israeli prime minister at the time), made the fatal decision of not to preempt that attack, and not to call its reserve units in time, for fear that that action would be interpreted by the international community as an Israeli aggression. It was a huge mistake; it cost many Israeli lives. When the war was over, Golda was forced to resign.

In South Africa, the Sderot humanitarian reality and Iranian influence on Gaza were the main issues I emphasized to counterbalance ‘Israeli Apartheid Week’
Universities and college campuses around the world mark the first week of March as ‘Israeli Apartheid week’- a week-long event that seeks to brainwash university students on campuses across the globe by attempting to link the South African apartheid system to the state of Israel. This year, the sixth annual Israeli Apartheid Week was held in more than 50 cities, and has gained more popularity with each passing year.

By PAUL SCHNEE
On February 8th. Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, was invited to speak on the campus of UCI. A Jew hating, down with America, Muslim group is openly looking for recruits, no not in Iraq, Yemen or Afghanistan but right here in America.
Formed and committed to the establishment of international Islamic empire the group linked to Hamas known as Hizb ut-Tahrir is holding its first public meeting for recruitment in the windy city of Chicago. The group which functioned clandestinely for years are now out in the open some are saying it is due to the ultra relaxed and highly touted PC tolerance of the Obama administration.

In their final effort to pressure the Olmert government to secure the release of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, the Shalit family has stationed itself in a protest tent across the Prime Minister’s Residence for more than a week now. Rain or shine, the family gathers together each day as reporters, cameramen and thousands of supporters mill around, amid the sad faces of Gilad’s parents, Noam and Aviva, and older brother, Yoel.
