Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, has been under intense pressure to agree to the resumption of direct talks with Israel. He is not alone. My janitor has finally succumbed to my pressure and agreed to negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians. “Funny,” you might say, breaking a tentative grin, “but your janitor does not count; he is not in charge of anything Palestinian.”
“I know,” I would admit, smiling back conspiratorially. “But so is Mr. Mahmoud Abbas.”
Let’s be real. Mr. Abbas pretends to be in charge of Gaza. He is not. Gaza is a separate pseudo state, province or territory under the control of Hamas; it has a government, an army, all run by an Islamic fanatic, mafia-style leadership. It even has a nickname—Hamastan. Abbas would not dare resting his foot on that sacred Palestinian ground. He knows he won’t last there for more than a jiffy. What’s more, it’s no longer a secret that Abbas is not in charge of the entire West Bank either. The only little parcel (within his Palestinian homeland) he feels safe is confined to a few blocks in Ramallah, and even control of that slice may be put in jeopardy once he recognizes Israel as a Jewish state. It makes no sense to deliberate a two-state solution when reality calls for a five or a six-city-state product.

As we approach a total of 400 aerial attacks launched from Gaza since the cease fire which halted Israel’s Cast Lead’ military incursion into Gaza on January 19, 2009, an upgraded Qassam rocket scored a direct hit on the ceiling of children’s hydrotherapy rehabilitation center on Saturday night., located in the heart of Sderot’s Sapir College.
The Saturday night Qassam attack followed the explosion of a Iranian Grad missile that hit the city of Ashkelon on Friday morning, July 30th.
Hamas controlled Gaza has targeted Ashkelon, with a population of 125,000 Israelis, since March 2008.

As if America has fallen into a condition of protracted somnambulism, most public officials along with the summarily distracted citizens of our nation seem bent on plunging headlong to their own demise: but why? We’re not yet the walking dead, but we may be close to a nation of sleep walking dullards who need to wake up before we lose everything.
Not a day passes when someone does not read my article entitled, Prophecy 2010 – America Approaches the Fork in the Road either on my website or one of the dozen or so other sites that have published it. It indicates to me that there are a growing number of people who sense that we are living in turbulent times and they are trying to make sense of it all.
Recent Pew reports indicate that forty percent of Americans believe that Christ will return by 2050. Although I would argue that it will be much sooner than that, I stand amazed that in spite of Muslim encroachment, apostate churches falling rapidly and a deepening of licentiousness and immorality a lot of believing American Christians are still holding the line.

For the past forty-three years, since the conclusion of the Six-Day-War in 1967, the American administration has recruited its best political minds and muscles for the task of bringing about a lasting peace between Arabs and Israelis. There have been some successes; Egypt and Jordan signed peace treaties with the Jewish state, and although peace between Israel and its two key neighbors has been holding for more than a decade, it has been a cold peace. The two “friendly” Arab neighbors continued their support of broad anti-Semitism campaigns through their government-controlled media and via their government-controlled education system; they participated actively in anti-Israel political maneuvering in international forums, including the UN, and limited their commercial ties with the Jewish state to a minimum.
It is important to note that both Egypt and Jordan have no territorial disputes with Israel. Egypt traded territory (the Sinai Peninsula) and plenty of American cash for peace; Jordan abandoned its claim to Judea and Samaria (a.k.a. “the West Bank”) in favor of the Palestinian Authority (PA) and a future Palestinian state. At the same time, Lebanon, under Hezbollah’s manipulation, has been acting on behalf of Iran while continuing its active hostilities toward its southern neighbor, Israel; Syria continues to pose a potential threat with persistent talk about a looming war, and the Palestinian territories—the West Bank and the Gaza Strip—are boiling with hate while talking about the “Peace Process.”

WHAT’S WRONG WITH ACTIVE SELF DEFENSE?
Active self-defense is a preemptive act designed to thwart impending aggression by enemy forces. Examples of aggressive self-defense are numerous, but the ones dear to my heart have to do with the Arab-Israeli conflict. The first one that comes to mind is the preemptive Israeli strike on the Egyptian and Syrian airfields at the dawn of the Six-Day War in 1967. On the eve of that historic week, Egypt and Syria massed their heavily armed troops along their Israeli borders, declared their objective of annihilating the Jewish state, closed the straights of Tiran to Israeli shipping, while announcing hourly threats of violence and genocide. The preemptive strike by Israel changed the map, and turned the death threat into secured living. On the eve of the Yom Kippur war in 1973, hours before the Egyptian and Syrian invasion (of the Sinai and the Golan Heights respectively), Israel learned of that plan. Golda Meir, (the Israeli prime minister at the time), made the fatal decision of not to preempt that attack, and not to call its reserve units in time, for fear that that action would be interpreted by the international community as an Israeli aggression. It was a huge mistake; it cost many Israeli lives. When the war was over, Golda was forced to resign.

Many self-appointed “experts” voice wrong information concerning the Israeli seizure of the “hate armada” a.k.a. the Gaza-bound flotilla who claimed to bring humanitarian aid to the poor Gazans.
These experts are ignorant about international law. Israel did not violate it. JFK did the same when blockading Cuba during the missile crisis. I include a passage of international law for all. Please educate yourself before speaking out.
1. “Maritime blockades are a legitimate and recognized measure under international law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at sea. (emphasis added)… A blockade may be imposed at sea, including in international waters, so long as it does not bar access to the ports and coasts of neutral states. (emphasis added)”
2. Israel must protect itself from the Terrorists who run Gaza with the support of Iran and al Qaeda. Israel inspects all cargo that is delivered to Gaza via its land-crossing so as to ensure that weapons designed to terrorize its civilian population do not get through. This is the reason for the blockade, just like JFK”s reason for blockading Cuba.

In my latest book 72 Virgins, some of the characters are members of a Jihad fraternity—a collection of Islamic fanatics, misguided by a faith-based hate, who seek martyrdom, whether it’s an individual or a collective goal. Iran is a leading force inside this mad fraternity—a point I was trying to make when writing the book. This is why Iran is so different from India, Pakistan, Israel, when it comes to the question of nuclear weapons.
It is a fact that among the official and unofficial nuclear club members none is controlled by an Islamic religious fanatic leader, whereas Iran is.
