The reaction to the Mel Gibson rant was nuclear, but who pressed the red button?  Here’s a conspiracy theory for those who love ‘em so.

The Template

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

mediaI have noticed in the last few days the misnamed main stream media ignoring stories that don’t fit “The Template”. We are deluged with stories of the leaking oil in the gulf and the conduct of General McChrystal. In the meantime, a strong, conservative, black Republican just destroyed Strom Thurmond’s son in a primary for a South Carolina congressional seat. He won by more than a 2 to 1 margin.

Why would the media ignore this story? Because it doesn’t fit with “The Template” as it contradicts the notion that Republicans in general and Tea Party types specifically are racists. Instead, Newsweek publishes a story that bemoans the media’s “enduring fascination” with the Tea Party. If by fascination, Newsweek means “attempt to discredit and marginalize”, they are exactly right. That is, of course, not at all what the writers meant. Instead, they go on to again allege that racial prejudice is driving the political unrest in this year’s elections.

Thank You, Fox News

fox

Thank you, Fox News. Thank you for reporting the news other networks ignore. Thanks for not condescending to the great unwashed by informing us how we should think on a given subject.

Thank you for not adopting the patronizing, elitist attitudes that have become de rigueur on most other networks. Thank you for recognizing that Americans have the right to information from both sides of the aisle and are fully capable of making up their own minds on issues, given enough facts.

Thanks, Fox, for actually questioning the incessant spin coming from Camp Obama. No one else is. If not for your reporting, most Americans would still be unaware of the depth of ‘change’ our president is proposing. Even though the old media succeeded in getting Obama elected, thanks to you, Americans are finally being given access to information they should have had before they voted. Better late than never.

The New Angle

Please make note of the newest trick in the liberal arsenal when it comes to eliminating the constitutional rights of those who logically oppose them as relates to their “Happy Talk Townhalls” about the “Obama Euthanasia Health Scare” gibberish.

Usually, when the members of the left stage these kinds of events, they surround themselves with like minded intellectual saplings that are also prompted to “ask the right questions.”  Screening the crowd beforehand used to easily accomplish this.  Those who smelled like the “catch of the day” were “in,” those who showered within the last month were “out.”  Anyone who knew the address of the local methadone clinic was “in,” anyone reading the Wall Street Journal was “out.”

Sarah Palin: The Media’s Unacknowledged Shame

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

By Rev. MICHAEL BRESCIANI

Governor Sarah Palin resigns effective July 26, 2009 after constant media scrutiny and being the butt of endless and tiring jokes, ridicule and intrusions into her family’s privacy what does this mean?

At a time when the media is still sucking news from the big wave of pop star Michael Jackson’s short and fiery life Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin announces her resignation. News sources are in a frenzy to define the implications of her resignation all the while ignoring the real question of their own bad behavior.

A Fine Tribute: Saul Alinsky’s Son Speaks Out on Obama

rulesBy Dr. ROBERT OWENS

The multiple poodle-press pronouncements delivered from behind the curtain make it appear the Wizard of O is leading in several directions at once.  The media’s reporting-by-press-release contradicts itself.  I agree with the Omaniacs on the talk show circuit with thrills running down their legs when they say our rock-star president is smart and has an agenda.  Therefore, when I look at all the contradictions I cannot attribute any of it to a lack intelligence or direction.  When the actions of intelligent, motivated people make no sense, perhaps we’re looking at them through the wrong lenses.  Perhaps instead of using their words to discover their goals we should follow their actions looking to the foundation to judge the house being built.

The Wall Street Journal says “Obama Aspires to a ‘Light Touch,’ Not a Heavy Hand.”   The Los Angeles Times states, “Obama to propose strict new regulation of financial industry.  … The plan would give the government new powers to seize key companies whose failure jeopardizes the financial system, as well as creation of a watchdog agency to look out for consumers’ interests.”

Silent Scandals

scandalBy NANCY MORGAN

Most Americans love a good scandal. Schadenfreude, the taking of pleasure from the misfortunes of others, is a basic element of human nature. Granted, not the prettiest, but nonetheless, there is something deeply satisfying about seeing the mighty brought low, the arrogant humbled and the wrongdoer getting his just dessert. A reminder to us all that misfortune is not ours alone.

newsmarch

By NANCY MORGAN

Question: If news isn’t reported, is it still news? Not according to the old media. The old axiom, “If it bleeds, it leads,” is still operative in most newsrooms around the country. Good news, if reported at all, is merely an afterthought.

For the savvy news consumer, good news is recognized mainly through its absence. Just last week, headlines across the country reported the dire predictions of the World Health Organization – the swine flu, oops, the H1N1 virus, was “a grave threat to humanity”. A major pandemic is imminent and we’re (again) on the brink of catastrophe.

The threat was so dire, it required the president of the greatest country in the world (that’s America, for you Obama voters) to appear, once again, on national TV to advise all citizens to wash their hands. Lost in the lockstep reporting of the old media, was the fact that, gee, many “experts” were claiming that this dangerous flu strain was no more severe than the normal flu strain.

The pandemic failed to materialize, prompting headlines warning of “complacency.” It appears the WHO, the Obama administration and the liberal media were, well, wrong. Swine flu deaths: App 12. Unreported, was the fact that regular flu deaths (in 2006) were 56,000.
