Another Round of Golf

eisenhower-GolfBy BARBARA CASCIO

A woman who only recently got politically involved, found some awful truths about our wonderful President. He isn’t very wonderful and doesn’t deserve to be called President. I totally agreed with her and told her so, and added how I like to write. It makes me feel good, but unfortunately, that’s all it does. We dump, we give evidence, we give leaks, truths–which makes it even more frustrating that his transparency was very transparent immediately, which made me get into politics more. I couldn’t believe all he was getting away with. Everyday was something more outrageous than the day before.

Now more people are going to rallies and tea parties and standing up. All great and the same stories are repeated a few hundred times in all the best sellers. Psst…the people are catching up to you, stop your repetitive writing, it’s boring and old news.

The Declaration of Obamanation

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

independencehall

By FAIRFIELD “PINPOINT” EDWARDS

Editor’s Note: As we celebrate with a three-day weekend, or perhaps four or even five days off, it ought to be remembered why there is such a day, and why it is worthy of celebration, easily the most important secular holiday in the American social fabric.  Below is the portion of the Declaration of Independence that explains why Americans were driven to rebellion.  Shades of John Locke are very obvious, with a “long train of abuses” spelled out explicitly.  If we expect to make it to a tri-centennial this ought to be weighed carefully.  In this spirit, notice the words of the founding document juxtaposed with today’s headlines.  Editorial comments are in italics.

The history of the present King of Great Britain [President of the United States ] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

The Finished Line

finishlineBy LARRY WILKE

Since the communist coronation in Chicago, Obama and his collectivist caliphate have been on a mission. To their “credit,” they were intelligent enough to know that there would be a limit on the time available to them for their socialist shenanigans. Those of us cognizant in the ways of the liberal lunatics knew what was in store for what was once America. Those who exclaimed, “I’m not a racist, I’m voting for Obama” now act as if they had no idea what would be transpiring as a result of their blind faith. They may not be “racists,” but there are a whole slew of other nouns and adjectives I could use to properly describe them.

Daletoon of the Day: Statue of Amnesty

Friday, June 25th, 2010

OutofOrderBy DALE

Halt the “virtual fence” spending.  There’s another more pressing need– a statue dedicated to the hardest working people not yet in America.  And there’s a rumor that when the sun hits it just right in the afternoon, it resembles the statue of Obama at his old Indonesian madrassa.

McChrystal’s Gambit

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

afghanflagBy Dr. AVI PERRY

General McChrystal has (was) resigned.  It was a smart move—not by the president, but rather by the general. McChrystal is a brilliant real life strategist. He must have realized that the war in Afghanistan was going badly. The war was not winnable under the present constraints, requiring him to play by rules he considered wrong, poorly devised, politically motivated by men who did not understand what it took to win it. What’s more, the strategy he advocated—a government in a box—was not working due to the inability of the corrupt, apathetic Afghan government to put it into a sustainable action. McChrystal’s strategy has also brought about a considerable measure of criticism due to its semi-covert financial support, bribes, and disregard for the drug trafficking business conducted by corrupt officials and warlords. It was, still is, the only way he could win their backing and cooperation, protect his troops, minimize casualties.

Florida Senator LeMieux on Obama’s Response to Gulf Oil Spill: “Beyond Comprehension”

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

By FLORIDA PUNDIT

Florida’s interim Senator George LeMieux has become a strong critic of the Obama administration, most recently about the Gulf oil spill and Obama’s lack of knowledge of the situation and failure to bring foreign and domestic resources to help:

LeMieux: I think the thing that is outrageous is that we only have twenty skimmers off the coast of Florida. There are 2,000 skimmers in the United States and we haven’t even asked as the federal government for these skimmers to come to the Gulf…
