To date, 1317 U.S and Allied Forces have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since President Obama has been inaugurated. In addition, it has been 132 days since Obama promised that Gitmo would be closed permanently.

In a related news development but dated May 18th, a devastating rush hour attack, on a NATO convoy, six NATO troops were killed, five of them American. Twelve Afghan civilian also died. Most of the civilians were in a public bus.

The carnage was caused by a car bomber and injured another 47 people. This was the first major attack in Kabul since February, when suicide bombers attacked two hotels, killing 16. Afghan Police pledged at that time that they would tighten security and increase surveillance.

For those who would like a shock, brace yourselves. I COMPLETELY support a decision made by either Obama himself or his administration. I support the decision relative to “American citizen” Anwar al-Awlaki, a nice Irish kid from New Mexico. This decision involves the premature ending of this wretched life. Do it; I am on board and behind you 100 percent.

In “U.S. Decision to Approve Killing of Cleric Causes Unease” (NY Times) we read that the administration has decided to place this “American citizen” on the CIA kill list. Now, enter from stage left, the lawyers/liars.

The puling begins anew, “the notion that the government can, in effect, execute one of its own citizens far from a combat zone with no judicial process, makes some legal authorities deeply uneasy.” For starters, the fact that “legal authorities” would need to be involved makes ME “deeply uneasy.”

In my latest book 72 Virgins, some of the characters are members of a Jihad fraternity—a collection of Islamic fanatics, misguided by a faith-based hate, who seek martyrdom, whether it’s an individual or a collective goal. Iran is a leading force inside this mad fraternity—a point I was trying to make when writing the book. This is why Iran is so different from India, Pakistan, Israel, when it comes to the question of nuclear weapons.

It is a fact that among the official and unofficial nuclear club members none is controlled by an Islamic religious fanatic leader, whereas Iran is.

The surfing Socialist finally came out of hibernation and chatted a bit about the attempted attack upon the Christmas day flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. He didn’t have too much of substance to say as he had to race off for yet another totalitarian tee time. Being as vague as he always is, Obama said very little but he managed to blame nary a liberal for all of this but then later, he reflexively found someone to blame.

Obama said that “information about the terror suspect was not properly shared among intelligence agencies.” Since Obama is too much of a coward to lay the blame for this, I will do so for him. The fault lies with one Jamie Gorlick, former Clinton hack who orchestrated her position on, of all things, the 9-11 commission. This was important because she had to cover up her responsibility (along with Bill and Hill’s) for building the “wall” surrounding the dissemination of information that should have been made available to federal agencies that literally made 9-11 easier for the terrorists. (Sandy Burglar did a little document barbecue on the Clintonistas behalf as well.)

The fact that Mr. Abdulmutallab is resting comfortably in Federal custody and planning his defense with his lawyer instead of being interrogated at Guantanamo by military intelligence is just one reason why Obama’s approach to the war on terror is likely to cost thousands of Americans their lives. Abdulmutallab is a terrorist not an ordinary criminal. If he had been successful he would have killed over 250 people at a stroke. If he is found guilty in a civil court he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment. Considering the enormity of the intended catastrophe, accidentally averted, a 20 year prison sentence and scorched genitals hardly seems punishment enough.

Now that he has been read Miranda rights and has legal counsel at his disposal his use as an intelligence asset is severly compromised. Obama’s main concern is not our safety, the swift and effective gathering of intelligence, or the firm treatment of terrorist prisoners but the desire not to appear to be doing anything useful that would resemble the Bush Administration and so alienate his left-wing base. For this meagre and cynical political consideration the rest of us are put in lethal jeopardy. This is nothing new in the world of Obama. Under his regime both our Justice Department and our intelligence services have become politicised. Thus does clarity become obscured. Without clarity there can be no understanding and without understanding no objective or rational decisions can be made. We are not being well served.

Janet “Pat” Napolitano our intrepid Homeland Security Secretary, went out on her own little “get their minds off of Obama’s health scam” tour last weekend. Napolitano did what all liberals do instinctively; she used a vast number of words to say as little as possible. Her discourse ran the gamut from the sublime to the ridiculous.

In “Napolitano Says Al-Qaeda-Style Terrorists Are in U.S. (Bloomberg.com) we read that during an interview with Bloomberg television, Napolitano said, “There are individuals in the Unites States who ascribe to al-Qaeda-type beliefs.” What a sagacious soothsayer Napolitano is. If you just counted the liberals alone with their politics of “target America first,” there are easily multiple millions here that fall into that category, and that’s before you get around to tabulating the militant  Muslims.

Have no fear, Napolitano says that “law-enforcement authorities are tracking terrorists with al-Qaeda leanings in the U.S.” Killing them is much more palatable than “tracking” them. Fattening them up at Guantanamo and then releasing them back into the wild just delays the inevitable. Playing progressive patty-cake with them accomplishes nothing. When it comes to the liberals and their declared “War on The War on Terror,” accomplishing nothing is what they are all about.

The “lets-stick-our-weenie-in-every-campfire” liberals have now decided to overhaul, or to phrase it more appropriately for the leftists: “takeover,” the Army Field Manual’s interrogation guidelines. In short, the liberals think that the terrorists will “talk” if they lay like spoons with them after a cup of warm cocoa and a viewing of “Fried Green Tomatoes” with the appropriate lighting for the mood. This Swiss watch of an idea will certainly make America safer.

When the “allegations” start flying, the liberals love to spring into action. Desperate at this point to take ANY attention away from their intentional destruction of the economy and their “hope” of destroying health care, Obama is siccing Attorney general Eric Holder over the “alleged prisoner abuse under the Bush administration.” (”Obama Administration Urged to Consider Expanded Interrogation Methods” Fox News) I would prefer that Holder concentrate on the palpable abuse of the American capitalist system and the formerly free market by his boss and his minions.
