Are We Capable?

NewJerseyBy ROB REILLY

Will America reject state-run everything in November?  State-run equals the ideology of Democrats, Liberals, and Marxists.Consider Camden New Jersey, a long-time Democrat stronghold.  It has the dubious honor of being one of the poorest cities in America.

According to a Bloomberg Businessweek article “Camden’s Mayor Cuts Spending in Poorest U.S. City” (http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-08-11/camden-s-mayor-cuts-spending-in-poorest-u-s-city.html), dated August 11, 2010 the city has tons of problems.  They have a $28 million shortfall this budget year.  Their median family income is $24,283, which is the lowest in the nation.  That will be tough to make up in property tax increases.  Oh yea, buildings are in decay and large numbers of houses are boarded up, vacant.  Times are definitely tough.

Blacks make up about 49% of the population (2000) as spelled out in a CamConnect demographic report (http://www.camconnect.org/resources/Demographics.html).  Hispanics make up 39%.  Whites make up 8% of the population.  The new mayor is a long-time Camden resident named Dana Redd.  Her entire professional experience has been in public service.  No private sector experience at all.  She is a black woman and graduated from Rutgers University.

Naturally, Ms. Redd is a strong Democrat.  Camden’s congressional representative is a Democrat.  Both U.S. Senators from New Jersey are Democrats.  Democrats definitely represent Camden at the State level.  No pattern here.

The city has been run by Democrats for as long as anybody can remember, just like many other major American cities.  Ms. Redd was elected mayor of Camden in 2009 with 89% of the vote according to Wikipedia.  The two mayors before her were both Democrats.

And, what do we see?  Death, destruction, and despair.  I’m convinced that Democrats simply don’t have the capacity to make anything better.  They always destroy things, either by corruption, lack of experience, or plain incompetence.  Name one place in America, where life has improved, when Democrats were in charge?  That’s right…you can’t.  The Democrats, certainly haven’t done Camden any favors or made life better.

You would think that the citizens would stop making the same mistake over and over, by voting in the very people that are destroying their hopes and dreams and futures.

But they don’t.

And, why should the Democrat politicians change anything?  After all, they keep getting elected.

So,  are a large number of Americans even capable of understanding why state run everything should be rejected?

I have to wonder.

Interesting. I am sure democrats would argue that you are racist, stupid, and probably a George Bush fan. Somehow it is never their(democrats) fault when things go wrong, we all owe them a living. GOOD PIECE.
